Who they are
Andrew Clyde
U.S. Representative; his site says he "was elected to the 117th Congress in November 2020."2 Some pages are old: the IRS page says "Last year it passed the Senate" about a 2019 signing,4 and the Second Amendment page cites "The government's response to the pandemic."3 His Battle with the IRS page is a menu item under Issues and is scored as an issue.
Caitlyn Gegen
Her Solutions page lists 18 priorities and a Caitlyn vs. Clyde comparison block; the $20/hour wage and the tariff repeal come from that block and are credited to the matching issues. The home page's four statistic counters show as zeros in the saved copy and were not scored. The site's first crawl paths (.html at the root) were empty; the pages used are /pages/solutions.html and /pages/voter-guide.html.

The middle

Where they agree

  • Both talk about Congress's role under the Constitution. Clyde: "Congress has the authority to govern within the 18 articles outlined in the U.S. Constitution."2 Gegen: "Congress needs to take its power back."5
  • Both frame cost pressure as families keeping more of their own money. Clyde: "you should keep more of your tax dollars."2 Gegen: families should "have extra savings at the end of the month."5

Where they really split

  • Taxes: Clyde wants to "Eliminate graduated taxes and implement a FairTax system."2 Gegen: "The Epstein Class needs to pay their fair share in taxes."5
  • Federal agencies: Clyde: "The Department of Education must go. The Environmental Protection Agency must go."2 Gegen: "ICE does not serve a unique purpose in the federal government."5
  • Abortion: Clyde is "proudly pro-life and believes life begins at conception."2 Gegen: "Every woman should have the right to her own body."5

What each one leaves out

  • Clyde's site names a policy on four of its six issues (Second Amendment, taxes, limiting government, the IRS) but spells out how on none, gives no costs, numbers or dates, and shows an earlier action only on the IRS issue. Parts of it are old.2, 3, 4
  • Gegen's Solutions page names a policy on ten of its 18 issues but spells out how on none. It gives one number ($20/hour), no costs or dates, and shows no earlier action on any issue.5
