Who they are
Jonathan Chavez
Hospital imaging director, by his own account.5 His site has two linked Word plans (a 2026 platform and a healthcare platform); we read both and credit them to the issues they cover. His Home page says healthcare "will be reclaimed through market-driven reforms that repeal Obamacare's failures"3 while his Issues page says "Advance affordability through Medicaid expansion."2 The two plans also differ on a fact: one says "Georgia now has the second-highest uninsured rate among the states"5 and the other says "holding the third-highest uninsured rate in the nation".6
Jasmine Clark
Georgia state representative since 2018, by her own account.7 Her Agenda page has eight headings with short item labels and no text behind most of them. Its Fighting Back section still opens "In just a few months, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans have done unprecedented damage to our country and to Georgia."7

The middle

Where they agree

  • Both want a stock-trading ban for Congress. Clark: "Ban Stock Trading by Members of Congress".7 Chavez: "ban Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from owning individual stocks while in office".5
  • Both take on data centers. Clark: "Rein in Data Center Development".7 Chavez: "support federal rules requiring large new electricity users to pay the full cost of the grid upgrades and generation they require".5
  • Both want changes to campaign money. Clark: "Demand Real Campaign Finance Reform".7 Chavez: "Refuse corporate PAC money, and push to require that every campaign contribution of $1,000 or more be disclosed online within 48 hours".5

Where they really split

  • Schools: Clark says "education is under attack by Republicans trying to politicize our schools and divert funding to unaccountable private and charter schools."7 Chavez wants "increased funding and quality oversight for public charter schools".5
  • Taxes: Clark says "Billionaires and Corporations Should Pay Their Fair Share".7 Chavez backs "a simple 23% national sales tax on new goods and services".3
  • Immigration: Clark wants to "Stop Unconstitutional ICE Raids".7 Chavez: "Support cooperation between local jails and federal immigration authorities on criminal offenders".5

What each one leaves out

  • Clark's Agenda lists 29 short items under eight headings. None says how it would work, what it costs or when, and the only past action it describes on an issue is her blocking an AP course ban.7
  • Chavez's plans spell out how on eight of his ten policy topics, but they name a funding source for only two, give a deadline for two, and describe no vote or program he ran. His Home page lists veterans and foreign policy, and his plan has no section on either.3, 5
